A 20-year-old male allegedly received minor stab wounds after an incident in Shepparton last night.

A police car outside the address in Paterson Rd where a 20-year-old male was allegedly stabbed on Christmas Eve.

A 20-year-old male allegedly received minor stab wounds after an incident in Paterson Rd last night.

Police attended the Shepparton address after being called about 11pm.

Shepparton police Senior Constable Nathan Trimby alleged it was a "domestic situation".

"A 20-year-old male sustained minor stab wounds; a 56-year-old woman has been interviewed and charged with intentionally and recklessly causing injury," he said.

The woman has been bailed to appear in court next year.
