Car theft spree in Mooroopna

Mooroopna residents are being urged to lock their car doors after a spate of thefts in residential areas.

Mooroopna police Senior Constable Jack Harrington said at least six people had reported car thefts since Monday.

Their cars were parked in the vincinity of MacIssac Rd, Norton Dve, Homewood Dve and Elsie Jones Dve.

At least three victims had left their cars unlocked.

Sen Const Harrington said the stolen items included an iPhone, Navman, Samsung camera and $6000 worth of tools.

He said any affected resident who had not yet reported a theft should do so.
