Young firefighters to the fore
Seymour does well in state urban championships.

Seymour fire brigade was well represented by its junior running team at the 40th State Urban Junior Championships held in Warrnambool recently.
It joined 75 other teams from across Victoria and from as far afield as Esperance, WA.
The young team fielded a side of under-14 and under-17 participants, both teams successfully advancing through to the finals in their events.
The teams competed in both wet and dry events involving the use of the basic firefighting equipment — hoses, hydrants, couplings and branches.

The team remains well supported by the Seymour Fire Brigade and its junior development team that consists of Mick Sanderson, Chris Lewis, David McLarty and Matt Taylor.
It is also well supported by the families of the runners.
The team now prepares for its winter competition.
