Thrilling last round in SDCA cricket

The last over decides where the semi-finals will be played.

What a finish.

It doesn’t get much closer than the last over of the regular season to decide who’ll finish second, third, and fourth in the Seymour District Cricket Association A-grade competition.

And it was the outsider of the trio, Alexandra, who obliged by doing what Nagambie and Kilmore couldn’t, winning from a seemingly impossible position and ensuring itself a home semi-final for the second successive year.

The Redbacks will take on Nagambie, while Broadford will host arch-rivals Kilmore and must try to find a way to beat its bogey side if it is to host the grand final.

Nagambie and Kilmore both blew golden chances to take second spot failing to run down modest totals in remarkably similar games.
