The warm up is out of the way, now it’s time to get serious.

Avenel’s A-grade netball side got the best possible preparation for a game against top-of-the-table Lancaster with a 68-35 win at Girgarre on Saturday.

The Swans had to make a few changes but that didn’t disturb them against the Roos as shooters Tegan Sidebottom and Niki Lord combined well to keep Avenel in fourth place on the ladder.

‘‘It was a really good win,’’ coach Anita Lynch said.
