An extraordinary final quarter was the difference as the winning run of the Avenel A-grade netball side was brought to an end by Stanhope on Saturday.
While the Swans came out strong and led at every quarter, including by three at the last change, the Lions stepped up a gear in the final term to win 47-35.
Coach Anita Lynch described what happened in that final term.
‘‘Stanhope just came out and accelerated and we just couldn’t go with them,’’ she said.
