The Nagambie Football Netball Club is holding ‘‘A Day at the Races’’ at the clubrooms on Saturday night. Run by Applause Entertainment, it is a race meeting with a difference. Actual horse races will be shown on the screen, with the runners names dubbed over (some Laker-flavoured names like ‘‘Popeye Pottsy’’ and ‘‘Barney’s Small Banana’’). The most successful punter on the night wins a plasma television. Entry is $15 and formal racecourse attire to be worn.
