Junior cricket supremacy decided
And it is familiar faces that lift the under-14 and under-16 Seymour District Cricket Association titles.
By Chalpat SontiNagambie and Avenel continued their dominance of Seymour District Cricket Association age-group competition at the weekend, while the semi-finalists were at last decided in the A-grade two-day championship.

The Lakers under-16 side made it back-to-back Jim Gribbin Shields with a 117-run win over Yea — remaining undefeated for the second year in a row — while the Swans went one better, making it a hat-trick for Ken Daniel Shields in the under-14 competition.
In A-grade Alexandra wrapped up the final spot in the top four after easily accounting for Seymour, with the Maroons left to ponder where it went wrong after a flying start to the season.
Tallarook hung on to upset Nagambie, meaning Broadford sealed top spot with its win over Eastern Hill. But the ominous side appears to be Kilmore, timing its run well in the quest for its first flag in 28 years.
Any one of Nagambie, Kilmore and Broadford can claim a home semi-final with wins in this weekend’s final round, though the Lakers would seal it if they can beat Broadford at home.
