A Nagambie Angling Club competition was held at Kirwans Bridge on February 9. It was scheduled for Lake Eppalock but due to the predicted extreme hot and windy conditions it was held at Kirwans Bridge.

The day was hot and windy and 41°C and the fish caught were seven Murray cod, five golden perch and one redfin.

The place getters were: M. McCann (first) 6100g Murray cod, 64cm, photographed and released; W. Cubbin (second) 993g golden perch; P. Thomas (third) 755g golden perch.

The Chinese group 2OR Guan Yin Tang Culture Centre came to our club block from Melbourne to bless the golden perch that were being liberated.

Club meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month (except in January) at 8pm at Kirwans Bridge clubrooms, all are welcome.
