Annual meeting sees some new faces on group.
By Pat CoffeyThe annual meeting of The Seymour We Want was held last Wednesday and Herma Duthie was re-elected as president, Rachel McCracken as vice-president, and Pat Coffey as treasurer. Joan Hall was elected secretary, replacing Rhonda Sanderson who is now a Mitchell Shire councillor.
Other committee members are Sharyn Peters, Ron Jessup, Denise Allen and Alice Solomon.
Ms Duthie’s report outlined the activities of 2012 with the main focus being on the Bright Ideas initiative for Seymour which highlighted areas which people would like to see improved.

Any group, organisation or tourism operator in the Seymour area is invited to send in their details. A Facebook page has been launched and continues to grow.

Annual meeting guest speaker was Mitchell Shire Council chief executive Rebecca McKenzie, who gave a brief summary of her past experiences and said that as the seventh chief executive of the council in recent times she had a long-term plan.
The meeting concluded with a round table exchange of ideas from those present and supper with the opportunity for more networking.
