The St Mary's College and Puckapunyal Primary School choirs, accompanied by the Alexandra Brass Band, open the carols with Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

The weekend’s hot weather cooled off just in time for a good crowd to enjoy Seymour’s annual Carols by Candlelight on Sunday night.

About 250 people attended Goulburn Park to hear carols, see the man in the red suit and enjoy themselves at an event run by the Lions Club of Seymour in association with Seymour-Goulburn Lions.

The Alexandra Brass Band provided the musical accompaniment to the likes of the St Mary’s College and Puckapunyal Primary School choirs, Katie Howard, Rob and Faye Muddyman, Rick and Bettina Mills and some mean banjo playing from Seymour Baptist Church pastor Geoff Leslie.

The Seymour ambulance centre was the other big winner, being presented with a $1000 donation from Lions Club of Seymour president Dilio Schivo.
