Avenel’s A-grade netball side had little more than a training run in disposing of Longwood 88-5 on Saturday.
The Swans were barely out of first gear against the winless Redlegs but used the game to try out a few different things.
Shooters Niki Lord, Tegan Sidebottom and Joss Roche all got plenty of practice and were well fed by Kasey Szydlowski, Kelly Smith and Sarah D’Orria.
In defence Sarah Milne and Dee Thompson were dominant and when Szydlowski went down there for the final quarter, Avenel managed to keep Longwood scoreless.
Swans coach Anita Lynch said her side was now preparing to face a fired-up Murchison.
