Wickets event volunteers needed
The Rochester Water to Wickets tour is only a few weeks away and the event is taking shape rapidly.
By Nikala DixonThe event, on February 18-19, will see former Australian cricketers Terry Alderman, Greg Ritchie, Ryan Campbell, Mathew Elliot and Jimmy Maher — as well as former Zimbabwe star Murray Goodwin — taking on the best cricketers from the local competitions.
It culminates on Sunday, February 19, when the teams go head-to-head in what promises to be a fantastic family day.
To help with the running of the event, the organising committee is seeking volunteers from community groups and organisations.
Each assisting group will benefit by this involvement, with anticipated profits from it to be shared among groups which help.
