Showtime in Rochester
Rochester’s Great Northern Show will have some of its most popular attractions over the past 126 years as well as new family fun ideas.
Enjoy the fabulous fireworks display on Friday night and let the children enjoy the entertainment and games especially designed for them.
There will also be a spectacular fire brigade display on the arena as well as a static CFA display showing fire safe activities.
The Ulysses Motorcycle Group will also be present, displaying a range of bikes.
Check out the homecrafts display of goods and craft to see the creative talent in the community.
The usual sideshow alley will operate and there will be many informative stands, including one to celebrate the Year of the Farmer in Australia.
An animal nursery and performing horses will add to the entertainment.
The Rural Ambassador and Junior Show Ambassador Awards will be held, as well as a Miss and Mister Teenager competition.
On Saturday the usual horse events and all livestock exhibitions will be held, including the Holstein feature show.
The KCC Dog Show will be another feature.
The Miss Junior Showgirl, Miss and Master Tiny Tot and the Baby Show will also be held on Saturday .
With a 126-year tradition, the show needs community support to ensure it remains part of the Rochester calendar of events.
