Police investigate alleged abduction attempt

Witnesses are being sought in relation to an incident in Elmore last week.

Bendigo police are seeking witnesses to an alleged attempted abduction of a 19-year-old woman in Elmore on Thursday.

Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Unit Detective Sergeant Matthew Gildea said a 21-year-old male was interviewed in relation to the incident on Swindale St, Elmore at noon.

‘‘No person has been charged, but this is an ongoing investigation,’’ he said.

He said there were no physical injuries as a result of the alleged attempted abduction.
