Elaine covers the Rochester, Elmore, Lockington and surrounding districts.
She began writing and illustrating for her own advertising publication in Spain in 2000.
Three years later Elaine went on to study journalism in Ireland and became a freelance journalist/photographer writing features, news stories, advertorials and taking photos for local and national newspapers and magazines.
She was a fashion columnist and editor of an international ‘retire overseas’ online publication before finding her calling in Rochester, where she has the opportunity to combine her passion for rural life, meet friendly people and write about what matters in a small country town.
Elaine has been with the Campaspe News since August 2011 and says witnessing people recover from the January 2011 flood and the huge community spirit that came from the disaster have been highlights.
She says she has seen the best side of human nature in Rochester and its surrounding towns and it is a very special place to work.
