International Women's Day success at Rochester

Rochester and Elmore District Health Service director of clinical services Anne McEvoy took the opportunity to put some tough questions to ‘Moira’ about health at a International Women’s Day function.

More than 60 women attended a morning tea to celebrate International Women’s Day at Rochester and Elmore District Health Service last week.

Former Kotta resident and comedian Monica Dullard entertained the group with her character ‘Moira’ who had the women in tears of laughter.

REDHS director of clinical services Anne McEvoy said the comedian brought awareness to health-related issues in a light-hearted way.

She touched on the areas of breast, cervical and mental health.

Ms McEvoy said ‘Moira’ was ‘‘very embraceable to people of all ages’’.

‘‘Every woman will take something away,’’ she said.

Ms McEvoy interviewed ‘Moira’ and asked her various questions about how she looked after her health.
