'Campaspe Conversation' a chance to talk to council
Rochester and Lockington residents have the chance to talk to Campaspe Shire councillors face-to-face at Saturday's shire-wide 'Campaspe Conversation'.
Campaspe Shire residents and council staff can look forward to a ‘‘snag and a chin wag’’ during Saturday’s Campaspe Conversation.
Promoted as a day for residents across the shire to talk about anything council related, mayor Ian Maddison said five locations across the shire would host a conversation.
Rochester residents can head to the Rochester Shire Hall, while Lockington residents can visit the Lockington Business on Saturday from 10am to noon.
Cr Maddison said councillors and staff were looking forward to talking to members of the community.
‘‘The day provides an opportunity for residents to have a say on things that affect them and help shape the future of Campaspe Shire,’’ he said.
‘‘A free sausage sizzle will be at each location and I hope that while people are out and about on Saturday, they will take the opportunity to call in and have a ‘snag and a chin wag’.
‘‘I recognise that we all live busy lifestyles and may not be able to join in the day, so there is still an opportunity for residents to provide input.
‘‘We have set up an online survey, to be active from this Tuesday on council’s website, for information to feed through to our key plans.’’
Cr Maddison said the survey will also be at each location on the day to capture information and will continue to be available online through to the end of the month.
Residents can drop in on the day or, to save waiting, can book a 10 minute talk by contacting Customer Service on 1300 666 535.
