Finding a new idea when it comes to fundraising is not easy.

So, when St Joseph’s Primary School in Rochester was searching for something different, two parents put their hands up to help out.

The result is a gala event on September 13 with a Brownlow night theme.

John Atley and Michael Palmer have assembled a terrific package with MC Brad McEwan from Channel Ten hosting the evening.

Originally from Lockington, Mr McEwan will share many of his television sporting experiences with the audience.

‘‘We have booked fantastic Melbourne band Amanda and the Jets and a superb two-course meal is included for patrons,’’ Mr Atley said.

There will be auctions as well as activities related to the Brownlow.

To book, contact the school on 54841797.
