Rushworth CFA volunteer airlifted with severe injuries

A Rushworth CFA volunteer has been airlifted to a Melbourne hospital after falling from a truck while fighting a fire this morning.

A Rushworth CFA volunteer was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital with severe pelvic injuries early this morning after falling from a truck.

The 42-year-old Waranga Shores resident fell off the truck and was clipped by the rear wheels around 1am at the scene of a small fire at the Bendigo-Murchison Rd in Moora.

He was initially airlifted to a Bendigo hospital before being transferred to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
