Campaspe Shire mayor Ian Maddison is inviting Kyabram residents to share their views with councillors at a series of information sessions this month.

Councillors will meet with residents throughout the shire in an informal setting to allow ratepayers to talk one-on-one with councillors.

Cr Maddison said the sessions were important for residents as well as councillors.

‘‘There are people who do not feel comfortable about talking in a hall or meeting,’’ he said.

‘‘This way people can come along, do their shopping and have a chat with the councillors.’’

Cr Maddison said the conversations would be vitally important as council develops a new budget and a four-year plan.

‘‘Discussions will feed into these key documents as well as providing the community with face-to-face contact with staff and councillors,’’ he said.

‘‘No topic is too big or too small for the day.’’

Campaspe Conversation sessions will be on March 23 at:

■Echuca, Carters of Echuca, 10am to 1pm.

■Kyabram, Albion Arcade, 10am to 1pm.

■Lockington, Business Centre, 10am to noon.

■Rochester, Shire Hall, 10am to noon.

■Rushworth, Shire Hall, 10am to noon.

There will be a free sausage sizzle at each location.
