Hail return of Kyabram cabs

Tatura company buys licences to return taxis to Kyabram.

June 25, 2014 3:01am

Tanika Rose Ngumotu is the first driver back in a Kyabram Taxi after months of no services.

A dedicated taxi service has returned to Kyabram, with three cabs set to roam the streets of the district in the coming weeks.

The announcement comes after Tatura company Rontronics Technical Services bought three taxi licences from the former Kyabram taxi service, with the first taxi taking customers as early as last Saturday.

The second vehicle, a stationwagon, is likely to be operational this week pending VicRoads approval followed by another sedan next week.

Tatura’s Maxi-Taxi service, which can cater for 10 people and has wheelchair facilities, will also be made available to Kyabram and district clients.
