Kyabram’s Girls Night Out has raised more than $10
The organising committee of this year’s Girls Night Out has decided to donate proceeds from this year’s event to the Kyabram Multiple Sclerosis Peer Support Group.
Multiple Sclerosis is a serious, progressive, disabling neurological condition with mostly ineffective medical treatments.
MS symptoms include fatigue, imbalance, pain and general weakness.

Most sufferers are diagnosed in their 20s to 40s and three times as many women as men are affected.
Last year’s Girls Night Out event attracted 220 women and organising committee member Janine McAuliffe said the organisers just want to help local groups.
Support group member Anna Plummer said money donated would help fund various activities to help group members.
‘‘We need to do exercise classes, massages, swimming sessions and other activities to build strength and help with general wellbeing,’’ she said.
‘‘All the money raised for our group will be spent in Kyabram as we like to support those who help to support us.’’
Kyabram MS Peer Support Group has 12 members and the group also provides support to people with other neurological conditions. The group meets at Kyabram Community and Learning Centre at 5.30
Anyone suffering from MS or another neurological condition is welcome to attend the meetings.
