A fundraising event next week for the family of the late Menique Richards continues to receive tremendous support from across Kyabram and district.
Menique, the partner of Kyabram man Andrew Melverton and mother to four young children, died last Wednesday after a short battle with cancer. She was 29.
Andrew has been unable to work, and the young family is feeling the added strain of financial pressure.
The M & M Fundraiser being organised by family and friends is scheduled for Saturday, February 23 and features Kyabram DJ Sherman, with catering to be supplied.
The event at Girgarre will have entertainment, raffles and a goods and services auction. Tickets are $10 adults, $25 family.
Organisers have been overwhelmed with donations for the auction and are unable to accept any more donations for this part of the fundraiser.
Among early donations for the auction are AFL guernseys signed by Chris Judd and Nick Riewoldt, a limousine hire valued at $500, and a Parliament House package, which includes a meal and accommodation.
Monetary donations can still be made into the M & M Fundraiser trust account at Bendigo Bank (BSB number 633-000; account number 1478
