Country Fire Athority volunteers were called to a gas leak in the front yard of a house in Allan St today.
Allan St has reopened to traffic after a gas leak in the front yard of a private residence was repaired this morning.
Fire, police and gas detection crews were called to the house about 9.30am when an excavator digging fence post holes hit a gas main.
The western end of Allan St was closed for about an hour while the leak was assessed and repaired.
The nearby BP service station was also closed for the duration of the emergency.
