A Kyabram man, 47, was one of three men arrested and released without charges last week about the 30-year-old murder case of Shepparton teenager Michelle Buckingham.
Michelle disappeared on October 21, 1983 while walking to a caravan park.
A local farmer found the body of Michelle, 16, in long grass alongside Violet Town-Boundary Rd at Kialla East more than two weeks later.
Police said she was wearing the same clothes she had last been seen in and had been stabbed 19 times.
Last week, Victoria Police cold case homicide detectives visited two properties, one in Kyabram and one in Brisbane, and as a result one man was arrested in Kyabram and two men were arrested at the Brisbane address.
All three were interviewed and released without charge.
Police say the investigation is continuing and anyone with information should phone Crime Stoppers on 1800
