Kyabram CFA were called to a fire in Lynton Cr last Friday night about 11.15pm after police were informed of a man who had built a bonfire in his backyard.
The man put the fire out before local CFA crew arrived to ensure that the fire couldn’t pose any danger.
Kyabram CFA Fire Captain Mick Crompton said he wanted to remind the public that lighting a fire within Kyabram is not allowed.
‘‘It is a council bylaw that you cannot burnoff within the township of Kyabram,’’ he said.
Fires such as this needlessly ties up our time and resources,’’ he said.
