This year’s Heathcote Wine and Food Festival is on October 5 and 6 at the Heathcote Showgrounds.
With more than 70 wine and food purveyors offering more than 200 regional wines alongside exceptional food, great entertainment and a celebratory atmosphere, it will provide a one-stop-shop for visitors and residents to soak up the region’s gastronomic greatness.
For wine lovers with a penchant for shiraz, there will be a master class from one of Australia’s most prolific and respected wine commentators, Nick Stock.
The class will explore the best shiraz from the Heathcote region, alongside global stand-outs of the same variety.
Also new this year are cooking demonstrations by chef Patrick Aldred from Spice Bazaar Cooking School, which will match food with Heathcote wines.
Educator Rob Hicks will host 30 minute wine tasting seminars to give novices an insight into the varying styles and characteristics of Heathcote wine.
There will be a wide range of entertainment on offer for all ages with live music, giant soap bubbles, fire-breathing, magic and juggling.
