Water corporation seek strategy feedback
District residents are invited to submit feedback on Coliban Water’s 50-year water security strategy.
The 50-year strategy outlines water supply initiatives to meet the region’s residential, business and community urban water needs in the future.
Coliban Water’s raw water manager, Steve Healy, said water corporations across the state formally reviewed their water supply demand strategy every five years.
‘‘We have 49 towns across nine different water supply areas and each area has its own water supply and demand strategy,’’ Mr Healy said.
‘‘The review of this strategy is a key input into our future planning, including our next five year water plan.’’
The draft water supply and demand strategy is available for public comment until February 27.
