School vandalism at Redesdale-Mia Mia school
Redesdale-Mia Mia Primary School principal Kathy Vella is angry after someone stole the school’s Australian flag last week.
The theft of the flag from the school’s flagpole, along with the connecting ropes, was discovered by Ms Vella when she arrived for school on February 13.
The theft comes after a string of vandalism attacks on the school that began at the start of fourth term last year.
They included someone trying to break in to the art room, someone putting their foot through the roof of the school’s new pergola, and the school’s chickens being killed by foxes after someone let them out of their cage.
Ms Vella has asked parents to keep an eye on the school, especially after-hours and on the weekends, and also asks that anyone with any information contact police or Crimestoppers.
