New director for Heathcote Health
Heathcote Health has appointed David Eaton as director of medical services at the hospital.
By Nikala DixonActing chief executive officer Colin Wellard said Dr Eaton’s role was to oversee the provision of safe and effective clinical care across the public hospital emergency (urgent) and aged care services.
His role no longer includes provision of medical care from Heathcote Primary Care Clinic as the clinic has continued to provide an increased number of doctors to meet the Heathcote community’s needs.
Dr Eaton will undertake his new position initially one day a fortnight from next Wednesday.
Mr Wellard said Dr Eaton would not be seeing individual patients in his new role but ‘‘it is anticipated that his work will have a direct effect of the level and quality of clinical services provided at Heathcote Health’’.
‘‘Heathcote Health looks forward to working with both Dr Eaton and the Heathcote Primary Care medical team to continue to provide outstanding clinical care to the Heathcote community.’’
