National Youth Week event funds
District youth organisations can apply for funds to create an event for National Youth Week in April.
By Nikala DixonCity of Greater Bendigo’s Kylie Emonson said funds were available to help groups and organisations to work with young people during National Youth Week by developing and co-ordinating events.
‘‘In addition to the funding successful applicants will also get additional support for their event through the City’s youth week promotions and advertising,’’ she said.
‘‘Last year we had a fantastic response from young people and the community, with more than 13 events held during National Youth Week in Greater Bendigo.’’
The theme for this year’s National Youth Week 2012 is ‘Imagine. Create. Inspire.’
National Youth Week runs from April 13 to 22 and funding applications close on March 2.
