Seventeen fire trucks were called to responded to a fire on the Northern Hwy, near Toolleen
Toolleen residents were on high alert after a grassfire broke out at a property this afternoon.
The fire is now under control.
Units from Heathcote, Axedale, Toolleen, Knowsley and Mt Camel are still at the scene as well as an Elvis fire bomber and ground crews to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.
The cause of the fire at this stage is unknown.
