Heathcote police attended a fire at the old coach building in Mia Mia on Sunday afternoon, prompting a warning for campers in the area to keep an eye on campfires.

Senior Constable Jeff Arandt said police were called out to the fire at around 3.30pm on Sunday on the Heathcote-Redesdale Rd after a campfire got out of control after not being incorrectly prepared.

Sen. Constable Arandt said the fire was quickly brought under control, with no injuries or property damage resulting from the fire, and no charges had been laid.
