Hidden treasure found at old Tocumwal church

Sometimes miracles do happen.

After St David’s Presbyterian Church was demolished recently it gave up one of its secrets in the form of a time capsule.

There weren’t any records of the laying of the time capsule, so to find a bottle still intact after being entombed for over 100 years is amazing.

Paper can be seen inside the sealed bottle. It will be opened after consultation with the Sydney Museum.

Bricks from the demolition site can be bought. Details from Jill Barnett at Tocumwal Pharmacy.

Hopefully the crisis has been averted at Tocumwal Football Club, after a meeting attended by over 130 supporters on Friday night.

Also attending was the president of the Murray Football League, John Hawkins.

With help and encouragement from past players, coaches and skills trainers mainly local players will be given their chance to bring the club back to finals contenders.

This time capsule was found after the Tocumwal church was demolished.
