Echuca-Moama residents will walk through the night to help raise money and to support people diagnosed with cancer.
Relay For Life celebrates its 10th year this weekend, with more than 300 people to take part in the event.
As well as the relay, the event also features special ceremonies, live entertainment and activities for the whole family.
Last year, the Echuca-Moama Relay For Life raised $106,558, helping to provide much-needed support to locals diagnosed with cancer.
Echuca-Moama Relay For Life Organising Committee chairperson Sarah Crossman said it was a special event.
‘‘Relay For Life is a chance for us to celebrate with cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and fight back against cancer,’’ she said.
‘‘The Echuca-Moama Relay For Life will be an inspirational, empowering and moving experience with family and friends. It will also be an opportunity to raise money for Cancer Council Victoria’s lifesaving cancer research, prevention programs and support services, which are available to Victorians in every region.’’
To celebrate the relay, musicians Georgina Bish, Kristi Cahill, Billi Johns, Darcy Elliott and Drew Walker will entertain the crowd tomorrow night.
There are also children's activities, Miss Relay competition, Bunnings activity tent, candlelight ceremony, a 10-year cake and the Moama Bowling Club fireworks.
Formal activities kick off at 4pm, with the traditional carers and survivors walk.
