Moama amateur photographer Rosemary Treyvaud, like many residents in the region, braved the cold to capture a shot of the ‘super moon’ in the sky on Monday night.
Mrs Treyvaud took a photo of the moon using her iPhone and then used a thermal filter app to capture this beautiful image.
She said the app gave a new look on the super moon, which is a coincidence of a full moon or new moon with the closest approach the moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit.
Her image showed heat radiating off the moon’s surface.
Mrs Treyvaud’s photography normally focuses on landscapes and travel photographs.
