Their silver agouti River Rose Tulsa was crowned best in show, as well as the best intermediate in show.
Also featuring in the winner’s circle was River Rose O’Hara, who won the best baby in show for silver agoutis aged three months to five months and River Rose Rhenn for best adult boar in show, for silver agoutis older than nine months.
Mrs Rosenow said she was pleasantly surprised to see her animal crowned the state’s best.
It was the first time the River Rose Stud had won the state title.
The win rivals best in show wins at Sydney, Adelaide and Hobart Royal shows.
‘‘It is a great thrill,’’ she said.
‘‘I was not totally surprised. I knew I had a nice animal, I just wanted to make sure the judges felt the same,’’ she said.
Mr Rosenow said the win was extra meaningful.
‘‘There is six generations of selective breeding that we have planned in producing Tulsa,’’ he said.
Mrs Rosenow said the stud would now turn its attention to winter championships in July and the national titles in Narranderra in August.
