A Moama Anglican Grammar School student suffered minor leg injuries when he was hit by a car at the corner of Kirchhofer Rd and Boyes St after school Monday.
Principal Guy Evans visited the year 7 boy and his family yesterday with a gift on behalf of the school.
Mr Evans said the student was feeling a ‘‘little bit down’’ and that it was a difficult time for the family.
The accident occurred just outside the school’s 40km/h zone after the student failed to see an oncoming car when crossing the road.
NSW Roads Minister Duncan Gay reminded parents and students to be cautious around schools after five incidents last week.
Mr Evans said, aside from Monday’s incident, he would write to the Minister’s office requesting a pedestrian crossing to be established across Cobb Hwy to improve student and community safety.
