By Ruth ClaytonDistrict residents interested in how films are made can head along to Echuca’s screening of the Victorian-based film Reverse Runner.
The feature-length film, shot in Colac and Geelong, is a sports comedy about the character Kid Campbell, a young man who does not fit in until he discovers reverse running.
Echuca’s Paramount Cinema will screen the movie on Sunday at 2pm.
The screening will include a question and answer session with director Jarrod Theodore and main actors Dan Cannon and Rosco Brauer.
Mr Theodore said the film was screening across regional Victoria after a successful 10-week run in Colac.
The film is also screening in Geelong, Hamilton, Horsham and Ararat.
Mr Theodore said the film, which took four and a half years to create, would appeal to regional audiences.
‘‘It plays really well to a rural setting,’’ Mr Theodore said.
