Children from Campaspe Community Children’s Centre were briefly evacuated following a small kitchen fire today.
Community care manager Janelle Wheatley said there was a small, isolated fire in the kitchen this afternoon, which was quickly put out by centre staff.
‘‘No-one was harmed in the incident and the fire brigade was called as a precaution,’’ she said.
‘‘Children from two rooms were evacuated for a brief time, but returned to the centre shortly after.’’
One CFA truck attended the childcare centre around 3.10pm today.
No damage or injuries were reported, and the CFA left the scene at 3.15pm.
