People on the river near Torrumbarry might have spotted this sea plane on Saturday.

It is not known who owns the plane or what it was doing.

A NSW Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the authority did not have specific legislation regarding sea planes landing on the Murray river.

She said once a sea plane landed on the river it was deemed a maritime vessel and was subject to maritime regulation.

‘‘RMS welcomes the owner of the sea plane to contact RMS regarding planned arrivals and departures on waterways in NSW to ensure that this is conducted in a safe manner,’’ the spokesperson said.
