Petrol cheaper in Echuca than Melbourne

Echuca-Moama fuel prices are on par with the regional Victorian average, but better than Melbourne.

Motorists get a better deal for fuel in Echuca-Moama than in Melbourne.

Fuel costs about 152.7c a litre across the twin towns, almost 4c cheaper than prices in Melbourne and 3c less than the Victorian average.

However, the prices are slightly more expensive than Kyabram and Shepparton, while Bendigo is 5c cheaper.

National fuel prices have also been gradually decreasing in the past month and are expected to continue that trend, according to Commonwealth Securities economists.
