Man hospitalised after Sturt St power pole collision

A Melbourne man was taken to hospital when his ute hit a power pole on Sturt St today.

Traffic on Sturt St is blocked off this afternoon after a ute collided with a power pole.

A Melbourne man was taken to Echuca hospital after his utility hit a power pole at Echuca Railway Station, Sturt St, this afternoon.

The car struck the pole about 1pm.

Powercor was called to stabilise the pole and the man was taken to hospital for shock.

A passenger in the vehicle was unhurt.

Traffic was blocked off on Sturt St from Darling St to McKinlay St as Powercor worked to stabilise the pole.
