The plea hearing of Echuca’s Tracey Kerr will start today in Melbourne’s Supreme Court.

The Echuca woman, 42, was found guilty in May of manslaughter for the stabbing death of Doug Barrett, 65, on May 26, 2012.

Kerr was found not guilty of murder.

She has been remanded in custody until the plea hearing, which is expected to include victim impact statements from the Crown and mitigating evidence from the defence.

Both parties are also expected to talk about the appropriate sentencing range, before the judge retires to consider the sentence.
