District photographs of the January 2011 floods are being sought for a pictorial history and travelling exhibition to be presented by Gannawarra Shire Council.

Photographs submitted can be of any relevant subject leading up to, during, or after the January 2011 flood event.

A committee has been formed to select 100 photographs from those submitted and those selected will be printed and framed for the travelling exhibition, which will tour the shire before being offered to other shires and interested exhibitors.

Each photograph submitted must be accompanied by the name of the photographer, the date the photo was taken, the names of all identifiable people in the photograph and the identifiable location, landmark or activity.

Photographs can be submitted via email to library@gls.vic.gov.au with the subject ‘100 Year Flood’, or can be presented at the Kerang or Cohuna libraries where staff will scan the photographs so the original copy can be retained by the owner.
