Echuca Fire Brigade members were left frustrated by the number of people lighting fires on a day of total fire ban.
Brigade members were kept busy on Saturday, with four call-outs, three for campfires, as well as a crew on standby to attend the Pental Island fire near Swan Hill.
About half a hectare was burnt on Echuca-Nanneella Rd, Echuca, about 2.20pm.
It is believed the fire was started from sparks from an angle grinder, which was being used in a shed with the door open.
Echuca and Bamawm Extension members were called to a campfire on Braund Rd, Echuca, about 8.20pm Saturday.
While attending the fire, a second campfire was also detected and put out.
Another campfire on Scenic Drive was put out before crews arrived about 9.20pm Saturday.
Echuca police also attended the fires and will investigate the campfires and grassfire.

It appears someone may have tossed a cigarette butt onto bush and bark, which caught fire.
