Firefighters have brought a 120ha grassfire near Dingee under control this afternoon.
About 25 CFA and DEPI crews, a water bombing helicopter and an air attack supervisor worked to contain the blaze.
CFA region 20 operations officer John Cutting said crews were called to the fire around 4.12pm today and it took about an hour to bring it under control.
Mr Cutting said the fire's point of origin was on the side of Dingee Rd and looked to have been caused by a cigarette.
"It's someone's discarded material thrown from a car," he said.
