Fire flare-up at Diggora

Strong winds caused a fire at Diggora to again flare on Friday afternoon. The fire started Thursday from a lightning strike.

Echuca Fire Brigade members attended a fire at Diggora on Friday.

A lightning strike set fire to the paddock in Diggora about 5.30pm Thursday, which re-ignited Friday due to strong winds in the region.

Rochester, Lockington, Bamawm Extension, Kotta, Elmore and Tennyson tankers, as well as a helicopter water bomber and air observer attended the fire on Thursday.

The fire burnt more than 25 hectares of grass and stubble.
