Fire destroyed a church hall in Mathoura last night.

The fire began around 7.30pm and quickly engulfed the St Andrews church hall.

Crews from four trucks worked until 11pm to contain the fire.

NSW Police also attended.

The small hall was completely destroyed, though firefighters were able to prevent damage to the nearby church and surrounding homes.

A cause of the blaze is still undetermined, with investigations under way.
